Introduction

Gorgor High School, Kenya

Together with our local partner school Beacon Hill, Burnside are sponsoring a High School in Gorgor, Kenya. Gorgor High School is situated in a remote part of Kenya where the local community are still living in the traditional African way including ‘mud huts’ with only sparse furniture or resources.  The school offers boarding accommodation for most of its students as daily travel is difficult due to the rough roads and limited public transport.

Together we have set up a registered charity to aid Gorgor High School in mordernising their infrastructure and teaching materials, BBG (Burnside, Beacon Hill, Gorgor) Building Futures. We are in the process of setting up a website dedicated to the charity. The link is shown below:
