Wall to Wall
Our aim is to learn about the differences in culture between the people who live at the beginning of one wall and the end of another. According to the Chinese the Great Wall of China is regarded as the spine of the Dragon. The Dragon is a symbol of strength and wisdom and the most important creature within the Chinese yearly cycle.
Walls can represent many things – for us the Walls build connections, they shape our identity. If we regard each individual as one stone in a wall and work together towards a common goal then we will have the strength to do great things. The Wall is a representation of community.
Burnside Business and Enterprise College at the heart of Wallsend is proud to be linked to Segedunum Together we hope to make a strong partnership link with School Number 19 and hopefully extend that partnership to include a nearby Museum or site linked to the Great Wall so that we can learn more about ourselves and each other to form a shared cross cultural communityBurnside Business and Enterprise College is proud of the strong links that have been forged with Segedunum Roman Fort Museum and Bath House over the past 10 years. We have developed the Wall to Wall website to support our Exhibition in Segedunum Roman Fort Museum.
